Diane Jackson-Gifted Coordinator

It is so exciting to be part of Jasper Middle School, where our 5th and 6th graders attend school!

This is my 23rd year in education with all 23 years being completed here in Pickens County.  For the first 15 years, I taught grades 6, 7, and 8 at Pickens County Middle School.  The following 3 years were spent teaching 5th and 6th grade at Jasper Elementary.  In 2019, I took on a new role as Gifted Coordinator serving the students at JMS.  I will continue to serve the students and teachers as Gifted Coordinator this school year.

I graduated from the University of Georgia College with a bachelor's degree in middle grades education as well as from Piedmont College with a master's degree in middle grades mathematics.  I also have my academic coaching endorsement, gifted endorsement and am certified to teach all subject areas.

When not working, you will find me spending time with my family. I have three children, a graduate of the University of North Georgia, a graduate of the University of Georgia College, and a senior in high school.

As Gifted Coordinator, I work closely with the classroom teachers and will either co-teach with them or pull students based on the activities and lessons being taught.

I consider it a privilege to teach and challenge your children.

Please let me know if I can assist you in any way.
