Welcome to Laura Stansell's class!

 

My name is Laura Stansell, and I was born in Meridian, Mississippi.  By the time I was a senior in high school, I had moved eighteen times.   I received my undergraduate degree from Georgia Southern University, and my master’s at Central Michigan University.  I am starting my 30th year of teaching this year.  My family currently lives in Cherokee County.  I have been married to my husband for 26 years.  We have two daughters.  My oldest daughter, Shea, just had an adorable little boy Braxton and works as a nurse in the ER at Tanner Medical.  She has been married for a little over two years. Laney my youngest daughter, is a Junior at Kennesaw State University and will be majoring in Nursing and minoring in Psychology. She will begin nursing school in January I have been teaching at Jasper Middle School since it started as a middle school.  

We are eager to welcome you and your child to my class.  I look forward to teaching your child again this year.  We are excited to start this year and encounter many amazing learning experiences. This will be another exciting new year, and I cannot wait to start.
